Woogi World™ Slogan

"Training Wheels for a Balanced Life in the Real and Digital World"

The Company:

Children's Way is a non-profit corporation with head offices in Provo, Utah and satellite offices in Boulder, CO, Washington, DC, and California. Woogi World™ is a joint venture of the Family Home Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, and the Children's Way Foundation.

The Problem:

We are starting to see the results of a generation of children left unattended at the computer. Excessive chatting and gaming, gambling, predators, and pornography are taking our children hostage along with the future of this country. A generation is being taken away—right from our own homes, schools and libraries. With such addictive media, children often lose balance in their lives, and lose touch with their community and the real world around them.

The Solution:

Parents need to spend more time enjoying and learning with their children in front of the computer—teaching their kids how to be safe and how to be good citizens. Just as a child needs help to learn how to ride a bicycle, children need even more attention when learning to navigate the information super highway (the Internet).

The Children's Way Woogi World™ Program is a free program for elementary aged students (K-6). The program teaches children how to balance their lives, how to safely and effectively use the Internet, and how to serve in their local communities. These activities are created with the No Child Left Behind standards, which reinforces what children learn in school. Kids participate in these educational activities in a virtual world called Woogi World™. The program begins with a 10 minute school assembly—introducing the child and parent/guardian to Woogi World™. The program is simple, requires little effort, and comes at no cost to the selected elementary schools.

All of the activities in Woogi World™ teach children balance, service learning, Internet safety, and other important values. Children are instructed through educational games, important missions (as special agents), and through at-home activities. These activities encourage kids to get off the computer and to do activities with their families and in their communities. Woogi World™ also allows parents/guardians to play games and other activities with their kids online.
